     Baked cinnamon apples

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
Cortland apples
Brown sugar
Raisins
Walnuts
Cinnamon
- honey might make a healthy substitute for the brown sugar

Instructions
Core the apples and puton baking sheet that is lined with enough tinfoil to make a 'tent' over the apples. Fill the apple centres with brown sugar, raisins, and walnuts and sprinkle with cinnamon. Overstuff the apples so the ingredients melt over the sides and onto the pan for spooning on later. Make a tinfoil tent over the apples and make it air-tight by twisting the ends. Leave air room at the top. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 40 minutes. Delicious served with ice cream!
