3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon each - nutmeg, cloves, & cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
3 eggs
2 cups fresh (mashed) pumpkin or canned pumpkin
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup seedless raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease & flour a tube pan or large loaf pan. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and salt. In a large bowl, blend together sugar, cooking oil, and eggs -- add to flour mixture. Add the pumpkin. Fold in nuts and raisins. Pour into prepared cake pan and bake approximately 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean. If the cake recedes from the sides of the pan, it's done. Let cook about 10 minutes and remove from pan to cool completely.
