     Augratin potatoes

Ingredients
6 large potatoes peeled & sliced
1 stick of butter or margarine sliced thin
3/4 c milk
1 1/2 c sharp cheddar shredded cheese (Save 1/2 c for top)
1 c Velveeta in small cubes
salt & pepper to taste
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Butter a casserole dish & layer the potatoes, salt & pepper, Velveeta, butter & cheese ending with the potatoes as top layer. Pour milk over the whole thing. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over top. Cook covered with foil for 50 minutes, uncover & cook 10 minutes more or until cheese is golden brown. This goes well with all kinds of meals. Especially my chicken & peppers. I really do love to make these potatoes instead of a box mix.
