     LASAGNA

Ingredients
1 medium onion
1/2 lb ground beef
1 large can spaghetti sauce (Ragu, etc)
1 large can chopped tomatoes(Italian flavored is good)
Garlic
1, 1 lb box lasagna noodles
•Oregano
1, 1 lb small curd cottage cheese
Oil
 
Parmesan cheese
Mozzarella cheese (1-1 1/2 lbs )

Instructions
SAUCE Brown onion & about 1 1/2lb ground beef. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce (Ragu, etc),chopped tomatoes, garlic & oregano to taste (I use lots). Cook slowly for as long a time as you have. In large pot, cook noodles with 1 tbsp oil. Drain & cover with cold water. Change water often to keep it cold. Assemble in large flat pan. Sauce, noodles, cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese (1-1 1/2lbs). Layer in above order. I stack about three layers high. This recipe makes 2 9x13 pans. (I like to freeze one pan.) Bake in 325 degrees for about 45 minutes, until bubbly & cheese is melted. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the pan & brown a few minutes. This is a recipe I make often & I don't really measure anymore, so don't h9ld me to the exact amounts. All the kids request it when they are home. Daryl is also a fan.
