     Garlic Cheese Grits

Ingredients
6 C boiling water
1 1/2 C 5-min grits
1 lb Velveeta cheese (cubed)
1 stick butter (sliced)
2 tsp seasoning salt
2 Tbsp parsley flakes
3 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp minced garlic or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
several dashes Tabasco or other hot sauce
 
1 (7-oz) can diced green chilies
3 eggs, well beaten

Instructions
Preheat oven 350 Grease 9X13 baking dish Except for water and grits, prepare and pre measure all ingredients, set aside. In a large pot on stove, cook grits in boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add all remaining ingredients (in order) to the hot grits. Pour into greased 9X13 and bake at 350 dg for 45 min. It should be lightly browned and slightly pulling away from sides when done. If middle seems slightly undone, it will continue to cook when pulled from oven. Also, it's a great reheated item, so no fear if slightly underdone.
Serving Suggestions
Very good with any type fish, chicken or ham
