     Red Velvet Cake

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
 
2 tsp vanilla
1.5 oz red food coloring
1 tsp white distilled vinegar
1/2 cup prepared plain hot coffee

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325. I medium bowl, whisk togetther flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa. In large bowl combine sugar and vegetable oil
Mix in eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and red food coloring until combined. Stir in coffee and white vinegar.
Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients a little at a time, mixing after each addition, just until combined. Grease and flour two round cake pans. Pour batter evently into each pan.
Bake in middle for 30-40 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool on cooling rack until pans are warm to touch. Slide knife around inside of pan to loosen, remove cakes from pan and let cool. Frost w/cream cheese frosting when cooled.
