     Chocolate Brownie Torte

Ingredients
6 oz dark chocolate, roughly chopped
1 1/2 oz butter, chopped
1/4 c granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 oz sliced almonds
1/4 c flour
2 c strawberries
1/2 c icing sugar
 
6 oz white chocolate
1 1/4 c cream

Instructions
Place 4 oz dark chocolate and butter in a heat proof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and heat stirring for 5 minutes or until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth.
Place granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla in a bowl and beat until mixture is thick and creamy. Beat in chocolate mixture and fold in almonds, flour, and remaining dark chocolate pieces. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased baking tin. Bake in pre- heated 350 degF oven for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Turn onto a wire rack and cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Sprinkle icing sugar over individual brownies. Place white chocolate and cream into a saucepan over low- medium heat. Stir until mixture is thickened. Pour over brownies and serve with sliced strawberries.
