Combine dry cake mix, water, eggs, butter and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in greased and floured pan, 9 x 13 inch or 15 x 10 inch pan. Bake 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool in pan before cutting into bars.
Notes- 6 ounce chips may be used instead of 12 ounce. Chopped dates may be substituted for chips. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon may be added.
