     Chunky Brownies with a Crust

Ingredients
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cold margarine or butter
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 (8 ounce) bar milk chocolate candy, broken into small chunks
 
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, combine 1 cup flour and sugar. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Press on bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes. In large mixer bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, egg, remaining 1/4 cup flour, vanilla and baking powder. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts. Spread over prepared crust. Bake 20 minutes or until center is set. Cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar if desired.
