Instructions
1.heat oven to 300 Place pecans in Baggie and beat w wooden spoon. Jesus was arrested and beaten by the roman soldiers . Smell the vinegar. Put 1tsp into the mixing bowl. Jesus was offered vinegar to drink. 3. Add egg whites to vinegar. Eggs represent life. Jesus gave his life to give us life. 5. Sprinkle a lil salt and taste then put rest into bowl. The salt was seen when Jesus followers shed salty tears and a reminder of our sin. Ingredients so far aren't very appetizing. Add 1c sugar sweetest part of the story Jesus died for us because He loves us. He wants us to know and belong to. him. Beat w a mixer on high until stiff peaks form (color white resembles purity in God's eyes of those whose sins have been covered by Jesus. Fold in nuts. Drop by tsp onto wax papered covered cookie sheet. (each mound represents the rocky tomb where Jesus' body was
Put cookie sheet in the oven, close the door and turn the oven off. Tape and seal the door shut Jesus tomb was sealed. GO TO BED! Explain that they may feel sad to leave the cookies in the oven overnight. Jesus'followers were in despair when the tomb was sealed. On Easter morning, open the door and give everyone a cookie. Notice the cracked cookie. Take a bite, it is hollow! on the first Easter Jesus followers were amazed to find the tomb open and empty HE IS RISEN!
