2 (1LB 13 OZ. CAN) ITALIAN STYLE CRUSHED TOMATOES
1 (1LB 13 OZ. CAN) ITALIAN TOMATO SAUCE
2 TABLESPOONS OF TOMATO PASTE
4 CLOVES GARLIC MINCED
2 BAY LEAVES
2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
1/2 CUP PARSLEY CHOPPED FINE
1/2 CUP BASIL CHOPPED FINE
2 TABLESPOONS ITALIAN SPICES
 
1 TABLESPOON SUGAR
1 TABLESPOON ONION POWDER
1 TABLESPOON GARLIC POWDER
1/2-TO 1 CUP BEEF BROTH

Instructions
SAUTE DICED ONION IN ABOUT 2 TABLESPOONS OIL TILL SOFT. ADD GARLIC AND BROWN TILL SOFT NOT BROWN. ADD TOMATO PASTE AND BROWN WITH ONIONS AND GARLIC FOR 5 MINUTES OVER LOW HEAT. ADD TOMATOES, STIRRING AFTER EACH CAN. IF USING WHOLE TOMATOES FROM A CAN BEAK UP WITH YOUR HANDS, SQUEEZE TILL BROKEN UP. ADD BEEF BROTH. ADD REST OF INGREDIENCES. SIMMER PARTIALLY COVERED OVER LOW HEAT FOR 2 HOUS TILL NICE AND THICK. REMOVE BAY LEAVES BEFORE SERVING.
