Line D.O. with foil to make clean up easier. (you can also use a 9x13 if making at home). Empty pumpkin into the bottom of the D.O. along with eggs and evaporated milk. Mix and spread evenly. Pour in box of cake mix and spread evenly. Top with butter cut into slices. Put lid on oven, put on top of 12 hot coals and another 8 on top of the lid. Cook for 45 minutes. If cooking at home, bake 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
