Brush the bananas with melted butter and place them on the grill. Grill turning once, just until the bananas brown, about 3 min. Cut each banana down the center to form two long pieces and place in a dish.
Place scoops of vanilla bean ice cream in between the halves, andd a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a sprinkle of chopped nuts. Top with a couple cherries and serve immediately.
