Wash and drain asparagus.Snap off weedy base...discard.
Fill large bowl with ice water and set aside. In large saucepan,bring 8 cups water and 1t salt to boil. Add asparagus to boiling water. Cook 2 or 3 minutes to crips-tendar.Drain, immediately pluge spears into ice water. Drain well and pat dry. Set aside.
