2, 8 oz. New York Strip steaks (about 2 in. thick)
1 garlic clove, halved
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbs. Dijon mustard
2 tsp. dark brown sugar
Instructions
Rub the steaks all over with cut side of the garlic and season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the mustard and brown sugar and slather mixture all over the steaks.
Preheat the grill to high heat and brush the grate with olive oil or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Transfer steaks to the grill. Close the cover and cook to the desired doneness, about 3 min per side for medium rare. Let steaks rest for 5 min before slicing and serving.
