AKA Pancakes, Flannel Cakes or Griddle Cakes
Mix dry ingredients. Add liquids only when the fire has burned down to coals. The batter should be just thick enough to pour from a spoon. Heat a pan and grease it thoroughly but with no extra grease. The pan should be level to insure even baking. Pour in enough batter to cover the bottom of the pan completely. When the top of the batter is covered with bubbles and teh edges are crisp, loosen the cake from the bottom by shaking the pan. Flip the cake over and cook on the other side.
