     Norwegian Prune Pudding

Ingredients
1 lb prunes
6 cups boiling water
1 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 Tbsp lemon juice
sweet cream
 

Instructions
Boil the prunes in 4 cups boiling water until very tender. Cool them and remove the stones. Add 2 cups water, cinnamon, and sugar and again bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch in a small amount of cold water and add slowly. Cook until thick. Add lemon juice and chill. Serve with cream.
Before washing, rinse dishes used for sugar or flour mixtures in hot water, rinse dishes used for eggs or milk in cold water.
