     Crab Meltaways

Category   Appetizers
Sub Category   None
Servings   96

One package of 12 English Muffins- original
1 16 oz lump or good crab meat- into small pieces
2 sticks butter- mostly melted to mix better
2 6 oz jars of Old English Sharp Cheddar Cheese partially melted
4 tablespoonfuls mayonaise
1 tespoonful seasoned salt
3/4 teaspoonful garlic powder or less if do no like it
1 teaspoonful - 1 tablepsoonful Old Bay- optional

Slice the muffins in half and cut each half into fourths and arrange on 2 cookie sheets.
Mix the remaining ingredients well in a large bowl with an electric beater. VIP- MAKES IT FLUFFY.
Spread mixture on English muffin quarters. Each should take about a level teaspoonful of the mixture. Freeze at least 30 minutes unless using immediately.
After 30 minutes, you can package into large gallon freezer zip bags. Or wrap around 12 in aluminum foil and then broil in the foil they were stored in. Broil on aluminum foil (or a cookie sheet) until they puff up and are bubbly and slightly golden brown- approximately 5-10 minutes. May substitute clams or shrimp instead of crab meat.
