Ingredients
1/2 quart milk scalded
1/4 pound butter
1 cups sugar
1/2 tablespoonful salt
1 packets dry yeast
3/4 cup warm milk
1/2 tablepoonful sugar
6 egg yolks
 
2 egg whites whipped
1/4 pint heavy cream whipped
1/2 teaspoonful lemon extract
1 teaspoonful vanilla extract
1/2 package golden raisins
2 1/2 pounds flour
NEED TO CUT AT LEAST IN HALF

Instructions
Scald milk with butter, sugar, salt. Let cool. In another pot warm milk and sugar. Then dissolve yeast. add into first
Place in large containers, cover with towels and let rise till double in size. Punch down and let rise again for an hour. Shape into loaves and place in lightly greased loaf pans. Let rise again till double in size. Brush tops with whipped egg and one tablespoonful water. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Cut while warm and slather with butter.
