     Cherry Rolls

1 1/2 C sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter or shortening
1/2 C milk
1 can pie cherries (tart) drained
Cherry Sauce
1 C cherry juice (if don't have 1 C cherry juice, add water to make 1 C)
1 C sugar
1 tbsp flour

Sift dry ingredients together several times Cut in shortening Add milk gradually to make a soft dough
Roll out to 1/4 inch thick, cover with cherries Roll & press ends together Cut 1 1/2 inch slices
Put in greased pan - maybe 8x10 I use 9x13 when make double recipe
Sauce instructions- Mix together and cook until boils Pour sauce over sliced rolls Bake at 425 degrees for 35 minutes
