     Sunday Afternoon Scones

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
2 cups of self raising flour
half cup of sugar
pinch of salt
half cup of butter
fistful of raisins
milk to mix

Instructions
Sieve flour into a bowl. Add salt, sugar and raisins. Melt butter in microwave and add liquid butter to mixture. Mix with a fork until it starts coming together then add milk a bit at a time to help the process. Once it is all in one mound knead it for a few minutes on a board adding flour to mound to stop it getting too messy. Roll out with a rolling pin then cut out app 8 scones shapes with a cutter or just tear off pieces and make shapes by hand. Flour a baking tray then coat the scones with milk and put in a pre-heated oven for 10-15 min at 200. Let cool for a while but best consumed whilst still warm. We top with jam and sometimes cream (if we have any in). Always have with a nice cup of tea!!!
