1. Blend brown sugar, flour, and margarine until mixture
resembles coarse crumbs. Remove 1 cup of mixture and reserve.
2. To remaining mix add the baking powder, salt, vanilla, milk, and
egg. Mix until smooth and blended.
3. Butter at 13x9 inch pan. Turn batter into pan, spreading
evenly.
4. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over evenly, then sprinkle with
chocolate chips and walnuts.
5. Back 30-35 minutes until cake pulls away from sides of pan
and center tests done.
