Pour the boiling water over dates; cool. Prepare
cake mix according to package directions,
substituting date mixture in place of water called
for. Pour batter into greased and floured 13x9x2
inch baking pan. Sprinkle chocolate pieces and
nuts evenly over top. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40
minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
