     Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
1-1/2 cups shortening
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
 
2-1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon allspice
4-1/2 cups oats
Instructions
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, baking soda, spices, extract.
Add flour and mix slowly.
Add oats slowly.
Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Freeze in wax paper as bars to bake at later date...yum!
