     Garlic Dill Pickles

Ingredients
20 lb pickling cucumbers
3 3/4 cups granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups pickling salt
5 quarts cider vinegar
15 tablespoons pickling spices
25 bay leaves
25 cloves garlic
10 oz mustard seed
5 tablspoons dill weed
 
5 quarts water

Instructions
Gather all utensils, tools, and pre-measured ingredients. Wash cucumbers adn remove 1/8 inch from blossom end; cut into quarters length wise. Place water n large slow cooker to heat bottles and lids.
Sgt Rock let me try some of these pickles, and they were fantastic! I may have to learn to pickle them myself!
If you want the home version, rather than camp- 4 lb pickling cucumbers 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup pickling salt 1 quart cider vinegar 1 quart water 3 tablespoons pickling spices 5 bay leaves 5 garlic cloves 2 oz mustard seed 1 tablespoon dill weed
