     Gretchen's Oatmeal cookies

Ingredients
3 cups oats
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 very large topspin cinnamon
1 large tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter softened to room temperature ( not to soft)
2 jumbo eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
 
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Get cookie sheets ready. I use parchment paper. I also get all dry ingredients ready while butter is softening. Cream together butter and sugars, then add vanilla. Mix well. Then mix in one egg at a time. Once smooth, begin adding oat/ flour mixture. Mix well.
Put dough in round ball shapes on cookie sheet. Messy balls not perfectly round. Bake for 9 minutes. Will be a little soft on top but will set as the cool. Be careful the can over cook fast. The bottoms will have just started to brown
These cookies can be eaten for breakfast. Just like your morning oatmeal.
