Ingredients
3 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Shortening
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
 

Instructions
1) Mix all ingredients in a large bowl with mixer at low speed until smooth (use only 1 ½ cup flour at first). 2) Turn mixer to medium speed and add remaining 1 ½ cup flour. Mix. 3) Cover in plastic and refrigerate for one hour. 4) Roll out until ½ inch and cut out doughnuts. 5) Deep Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with glaze, powdered sugar, or other stuff.
