Instructions |
|
|
Firstly finely dice two onions, and all the Garlic
cloves. Cut the remaining onions in half width ways,
then into eighths length ways.
|
|
|
Bring the Veg water back to a boil, whilst melting
enough butter to fry onions and garlic (the Trick
here is minimal not too much) add diced onions and
garlic to pan, stir regularly until the onion and
garlic are starting to go translucent then add a
pinch of salt and pepper. Then add the other
onions, bay leaf and salt and pepper to taste.
|
|
|
Once the Onions are looking nicely cooked add the
whole mixture to the boiling water and let simmer
until its either thick enough. If you want to
speed this up you can mix the cornflower in too.
If your gravy is not dark enough for your liking
you may add the OXO cubes, but keep it natural,
you will prefer it in the long run.

NOTE- Before Serving remove the Bay leaf
