heat oven to 350
prepare cake as directed in 9 inch pans
cool completely in pans - invert cakes onto wire racks - remove from pans - cool completely
beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl until blended, gently stir in cool whip and crushed cookies
stack cake layers on plate - spreading cream cheese mixture between layers
frost as desired
