Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 2 loaf pan. Cream butter an sugar. Beat in eggs and add 2 c flour alternately with milk. Stir baking powder into remaining flour, then add to batter stirring only until smooth. Add peels and vanilla. Pour into pan and bake 1 hour. Cool on rack.
