3 JARS RED MARASCHINO CHERRIES WITH STEMS
1/2 C. SOFT BUTTER
3/4 C. POWDER SUGAR
1 t. VANILLA
1/8 t. SALT
1 & 1/2 C. FLOUR
1/2 POUND COCONUT
POWDER SUGAR
JUICE FROM CHERRIES
 

Instructions
DRAIN CHERRIES VERY WELL SAVE THE JUICE AND BE CAREFULL NOT TO BREAK STEAMS
CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR,ADD VANILLA AND MIX WELL. ADD THE FLOUR AND SALT. IF DOUGH SEEMS TO DRY ADD 1 T. MILK.
PLACE 1 t. DOUGH IN HAND AND FLATTEN. PLACE CHERRY IN CENTER,STEMS UPRIGHT AND WRAP DOUGH AROUND CHERRY TO BASE OF STEM. PUT ON PAM SPRAYED SHEET.....BAKE AT 350 12-15 MIN.DO NOT BROWN....COOL ON RACK.....DIP COOKIES INTO ICING LIFT OUR AND ALLOW EXCESS ICING TO DRIP OFF. DIP ITO COCONUT TILL COMPLETELY COVERED. PLACE ON RACK TO DRY.
ICING...... COMBINE 1 & 1/2 C. POWDERED SUGAR AND CHERRY JUICE ADD MILK IF NEEDED TO MAKE THICK ICING, DO NOT ADD TO MUCH MILK.
