     Strawberry sauce for ice cream

Ingredients
5 1/2 cups of strawberries, fresh or frozen
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
 

Instructions
Wash,remove stems and slice strawberries. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring the mix to a boil. Once it is boiling and the sugar has been dissolved into the liquid, turn off the heat and transfer the mixture to a blender.
Blend until it is very smooth, nd then pass the sauce through a mesh strainer to remove seeds.
Serve on top of some good vanilla ice cream or as a topping for cheesecake. Sauce can be frozen for later use.
