     Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3 cups sugar
1 cup butter
6 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
 

Instructions
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Using an electric mixer cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy in a large bowl; add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in sour cream and extract. Gradually mix in dry ingredients into egg mixture until completely blended. Turn into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Before serving sprinkle with confectioners sugar
