     Knudsen Coffee Cake

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup crisco, butter flavor
1-1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 T. vanilla
2 cups four (+2 T. if living in a high altitude)
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
 
TOPPING:
T. = Tablespoon
t. = teaspoon
c. = cup

Instructions
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Beat well.
Gradually add dry ingredients, beating after each addition. When mixture gets too thick to beat with a mixer, stir with a spoon until all is mixed together well.
Have a tube pan greased and floured. Layer as follows. 1) 1/2 of mixture 2) 1/2 of topping* 3)1/2 of mixture 4) 1/2 topping*
Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before turning cake out of pan onto a plate. Spinkle with confectioner's sugar while warm.
Serving Suggestions
Can leave out nuts if allergic or have a dislike to them.
