2 quarts crushed or whole tomatoes about 15 to 18 medium tomatoes
3 Tblsp chili powder
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Combine the beans with th fresh water and 2 tsp of salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Drain and discard the water.
Brown the beef, onions and bell pepper in skillet. Drain off the fat and add the tomatoes, remaining salt, chili powder, pepper and drained cooked beans.
Simmer 5 minutes and adjust the seasonings
