     Spanish Rice

Ingredients
1 can crushed tomatoes (or put diced tomatoes in blender)
2 Tbsp cooking oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
2 cups raw long grain white rice
1 cup water (if cooking in rice cooker) 2 cups water (if using saucepan)
1 can diced mild green chilis (optional)
 

Instructions
Cook the onion and garlic in the oil in a small frying pan. Add to tomatoes, salt, rice, chils and water and place in a rice cooker. Cook according to rice cooker normal times. (If cooking in a saucepan bring all ingredients to a boil, cover, then simmer for 20 minutes on a low setting). Add more salt to taste.
