     Costello's Famous Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 heaping tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
 
2 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp orange extract
1/4 cup poppy seeds
Cream Cheese Icing
3 tbsp butter, room temperature
1 cup cream cheese, room temperature
2/3 cup icing sugar
1 tbsp rum

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325F and grease a bundt pan (mine was the standard 10 inch). In the bowl of a stand mixer (or in a medium sized bowl) cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes). In another bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add 1 cup of the flour mix, 1/3 cup of sour cream and 1 egg to the butter and sugar. Mix until incorporated. Add the vanilla, lemon extract, orange extract and poppy seeds. Mix until uniform. Add 1 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of sour cream and 1 egg. Mix. Add the rest of the flour, sour cream and the remaining egg. Mix until everything is smooth and uniform and you're left with a creamy batter.
For cream cheese icing- Beat all the ingredients together until it's a smooth, thick icing.
