Sift first four ingredients together. Set aside.
Work butter and sugar in a bowl until creamy.
Stir in egg and vanilla.
Gradually add flour mixture, oats, coconut and cherries. Mix Well
Drop by level tablespoon, 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 12-14 minutes.
