     Canning Basil Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients
4 sprigs fresh basil
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 tsp whole black peppercorns
1 pint balsamic vinegar
 

Instructions
Combine all the ingredients except the vinegar in a large widemouthed jar. Pour the vinegar into the jar and cover tightly. Store the jar in a cool, dark place. Check the flavor after 1 week. Decant from the widemouthed jar through coffee filter into a narrowed necked bottle.
Cork or cap, label and store in a cool dark place.
Serving Suggestions
Sprinkle this over fresh sliced tomatoes and cucumbers
