     Catherine's Butter Cookies

2 cups sugar
1 dozen eggs
2 1/2 lbs flour
3/4 lbs butter
8 tbsp baking powder
vanilla powder
lemon rind of 3 lemons

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl. Put in beaten eggs and flour sifted with baking powder. Add rind and vanilla powder. Then put dough on floured board, or counter. Roll out the dough and cut into shapes. Bake at 375 degrees until light golden color.
