Cream butter and sugar, stir in EGG YOLK,and vanilla. Add flour and salt, then to creamed mixture Blend well/ Use about 1 teaspoon of dough and make into 1 inch balls. Dip each ball into slightly beaten egg white. Roll in chopped nuts. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Quickly press thumb gently on top of each. Return to oven and bake 5 minutes more. Fill each thumb print with frosting .Top with M and M peanuts I DOUBLE RECIPE
