     Rum Cake

1 cup shopped pecans
1 yellow cake mix with pudding
3 eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup rum
Glaze for cake
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup rum

grease and flour bundt cake pan, place chopped nuts in bottom of pan, mix cake and pour over nuts, bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean from middle of cake, invert on plattered and add more chopped nuts to top if needed, prick top of cake and cool a little
glaze for top of cake, melt butter stir in water and suger and boil 5 minutes stirring constantly, remove from heat and stir in rum spoon over cake and into the middle of cake, repeat until all glaze is on the cake, let cake cool and set for glaze to absorb into cake can be topped with sifted confectioners powdered sugar or whipped cream
