     Sin in a Pan

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1.2 cup Karo Corn syrup
brown sugar enough when added to corn syrup makes 1 cup
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
3 cups Special k cereal
One (6 ounce) pkg semi sweet chocolate bits
One (6 ounce) pkg butterscotch bits
peanuts or Chinese noodles (optional)

Instructions
Put one half cup Karo corn syrup(light or dark) in a measuring cup. Spoon brown sugar (light or dark)into Karo corn syrup to make one cup. Put this mixture into a big sauce pan and stir over medium heat until it just starts to boil. Take pan off burner and stir in peanut butter; Mix well. Add Special K cereal; mix until well coated. Put mixture into one large or two small cake pans and press into an even layer. Use wax paper as a glove to keep from sticking to hands or burning.
Next Melt chocolate and butterscotch bits together over very low heat. (You can use a double boiler if you ever heard of such a thing, but it's not necessary) When melted, spread on top of the layer in cake pan (Be artistic, make a few swirls using a spoon or spatula) Let stand a few minutes at room temperature. Then cut into small squares as they are very rich. After cutting, store in refrigerator in airtight container.
You can also use the chocolate and butterscotch mixture as a coating and make little clusters of anything crunchy such as mixing together peanuts and Chinese noodles(the dry kind that come in a can)
