     Cheryl's Hamburgers Au Jus

Ingredients
5 lb hamburger 1/4-1/2 lb per person
4 T. beef base
1 qt water
4 medium onions, sliced thinly
20 hamburger buns
 

Instructions
BBQ hamburgers outside on grill until almost done. 2 hours before serving; In a 2 qt sauce pan boil 1 qt of water and add beef base. Bring to a boil. In slow cooker layer hamburgers and onions. Pour beef base over hamburgers and onions until just covered. Cook on high for 1 hour then turn to low. Serve within 6 hours. Serve on rolls.
