Sift the measured dry ingredients together twice. Cut the chilled
shortening finely into the dry ingredients. Add the liquid slowly -
stirring only until soft dough forms a ball. Turn dough onto a
lightly floured board and toss until sparingly coated with flour.
Knead lightly for a few minutes. Pat or roll out 1/2 to 1/4 inch in
thickness. Cut with floured cutter or cut desired shapes. Place on
prepared pan.
