     Pastel Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 c butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 (3 oz) pkg jello, any flavor
1 egg
3/4 c. coconut
1 1/2 flour
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
 
Frosting
reserved Jello
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 T. butter
7 T. hot water
Instructions
Reserve 2 1/2 T jello. Mix remaining ingredients and chill. Form dough into small balls and flatten on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Spread with a glze made by combining reserved Jello with 1 1/4 c powdered sugar , 1 T. butter and 7 T. hot water
