     Twila Butler's City Chicken

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1-2 lb cubed pork
1 beaten egg
1 T milk
2 c bread crumbs
skewers

Instructions
Place pork cubes on skewers. Mix beaten egg and milk together. Dip meat in egg mixture and then into the bread crumbs. Brown in a skillet over medium heat. Place in a greased baking dish with 1/4 c water. Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
This dish was invented during the Great Depression when chicken was more expensive than pork. Rachel borrowed this recipe from Twil Butler, a native and long-time citizen of Dresden, who fixed this for dinner when she would babysit.
