     Perfect Pot Roast and Gravy

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   6
Preptime   3 Hours 10 Minutes

Ingredients
4-5 Pound Pot Roast
1 Can Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Can Condensed Tomato Soup
1 Envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Instructions
Place pot roast in a large baking dish sprayed with no-stick spray. (If you wish to brown the meat prior to baking, that is fine.) Sprinkle with ground pepper and any seasonings, if you wish.
Mix together the three soups and pour over meat. Cover baking dish tightly with foil, and bake about 3 hours or so, until meat is fall-apart tender.
Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles to enjoy all the wonderful gravy.
I came up with this version many years ago when I had to substitute a can of soup, using tomato it Surprisingly, turned out better than my regular recipe, making a rich and delicious gravy. It’s our favorite way to enjoy pot roast.
Serving Suggestions
I have made this many times in the slow cooker with excellent results. I start it on HIGH for an hour or so, then turn it down to LOW until tender.
