Preheat oven to 350°F.
In electric mixer bowl, combine Spiced Pumpkin Dessert Mix, flour, baking powder, salt and
sugar. Mix on low 1 minute. Add butter, mix on low 1 minute.
In a bowl, whisk milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour half into mixer bowl and beat 1 minute on medium.
Slowly add remaining mixture, beat 1 minute on high. Scrape batter from sides of bowl,
mix 20 more seconds.
Melt 4 Tbsp butter in Skillet over low heat. Swirl the butter up the sides of the pan. Off the heat,
add brown sugar and mix until dissolved. Arrange apple pieces over butter mixture. Pour the
batter evenly over the apples and smooth with a spatula. Bake 35-40 minutes. Allow to cool 5
minutes. Loosen the edges of the cake with a small rubber spatula and invert onto a serving
platter. Serve warm with vanilla or caramel ice cream.
