     (OZ) BASIC BEER BREAD

Ingredients
3 cups SELF-RISING FLOUR
12 oz. BEER (Budweiser)
1 stick salted REAL BUTTER (melted)
5 Tbl. WHITE SUGAR
 

Instructions
Mix together flour and sugar (if not using self-rising flour, stir in also 3 teas. baking powder and 1 teas. salt)
Add beer and stir into a big sticky lump. Transfer to a greased loaf pan.
Bake in preheated 350 oven for 40 minutes, pour melted butter over it, and bake an additional 20 minutes. Let cool a minute and transfer to paper-towel-lined plate. Cool completely before slicing.
Experiment by using different beers or by adding various shredded cheeses or herbs to the dry ingredients.

This bread is fantastic all on its own!
